Since "New Girl" is basically my life, I try to include references to it daily. Winston Bishop is a beautiful cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure. Waiting tables is its own special kind of hell that few get to truly experience. Obviously the two were made for each other.

1. When you spend your whole morning surrounded by food but still have 15 minutes until your lunch break

2. When you’re in between rushes and run out of busy work to do

3. When your boss asks you to pick up a few extra tables on a Friday night

4. When your table starts to get mad because their food still isn’t out, but it’s the middle of a rush and there’s nothing you can do

5. When the table won’t get off their phones and look at the menu already

6. When they make a bad joke but you need their tip

7. When you finally get a breather during a rush and realize how much work you just did

8. When someone asks you to cover their weekend shift

9. When the bartender offers you a taste of their new drink while you're on the clock

10. When you flawlessly handle a big table and they leave happy

11. The way it tastes when you’re starving and the cook hooks you up

12. When they eat 80% of the food but say it wasn’t cooked right

13. When the check has been sitting at the table for a while and they're completely ignoring it

14. And when you really just need a drink after a long day
