Sometimes being a normal person is really hard, and let's be honest, who has it figured out better than your mom? I swear it's like as soon as you become a mother, you're given a book of never ending knowledge of how to do absolutely everything. Here are some of the things you totally call you're mom about when you're at school.

1. "Hey, do you think I can still eat this?"

I mean it's been in my fridge for like 3 days (or was it 8...?) but it doesn't smell bad...?

2. "Hi! Do I put the detergent then the softener? Are they the same thing?"

I'm still a little new to the whole laundry thing.

3. "Wait okay so I'm not supposed to substitute all other liquid intake for coffee...?"

I'M JUST SO TIRED!

4. "Can you just send me a picture of the dog?"

I need my daily dose of fluff.

5. "I'm ready to kill this girl, she is so rude but for some reason everyone likes her so like, I have to vent to you."

Do you ever just not get it?

6. "I GOT AN A ON THAT TEST I THOUGHT I FAILED!"

Maybe I'll graduate after all!!!!!!

7. "Soooo...I failed that test I thought I failed..."

....or not!!!

8. "I ran out of mac and cheese what do I do?"

Caf food just isn't an option today, but I ran out of mac and cheese. Do I activate crisis mode or...?

9. "Can you mail me some ravioli or something? Is that a thing? It should be a thing."I really miss your homemade meals.

10. "My symptoms are x, y, and z do you think I'm dying? Already dead?"

Idk, WebMD says I'm a dead cat.

11. *hysterically cries because I finished a series I was too attached to*

It's honestly one of the most tragic things.

12. "Hey I know it's 12 AM but whatever happened to Aunt Brenda????"

Oh she wasn't my aunt? Wait she lives in Canada?

13. "Can't wait to see you over break!"

I'm counting the days until I can see you and pester you with my nonsense!

14. "Hi! I just wanted to say I love you."

And I miss you.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
