Pure confusion goes on in my brain when someone brings numbers into absolutely anything. I usually joke with my mom and tell her I inherited her bad math genes. My father and my brother are a completely different story. You can give them a complicated equation and they will figure it out in no time, unlike me where I struggle with a long division problem. Some people just get it and others like me have absolutely no idea what is going on during a math class. It does not matter whether it is basic math or really complicated, whenever numbers are involved, I go blank; I see no possible answer.

When I was little I used to get frustrated because I did not understand it, but now I have learned to embrace my bad math skills and just deal with the fact that I will never have that little light bulb light up when it comes to a math problem. So for all those non-math lovers, just embrace your weakness; we probably have a way better time in math class than those who actually get it, because for them the answer is always so simple, but for us it is always a mystery that needs to be solved. Here are some thoughts all of us non math lovers have during a math class:

1. When am I ever going to use this in my life?!

2. How did you get that answer?

3. Let me just answer this text, I'm sure it won't get that much more complicated...

4. Am I the only one not understanding this?

5. Stop looking so confused, act like you get it

6. Why are there so many letters involved?

7. How long is this class? Has it only been five minutes since it started?

8. I am definitely going to fail

9. This is a foreign language

10. Maybe if I just stare closely at my book I will get the answer

11. How can people get answers without using their fingers to count?

12. I give up

13. Wait, I THINK I GET IT!

14. LOL, never mind, no I don't

This semester I take my last math class ever and I could not be any happier because I never have and never will understand math; it is just not for me. I'm sure many of you non-math lover can relate to these thoughts but like I said before, embrace this weakness, I'm sure we have way more fun!

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
