In high school, the last days of the year were usually filled with movies, parties, and yearbook signing time, along with a few finals. In college, the last week or so is a time period filled with exhaustion, cramming, and a bottomless pit of assignments whose due dates are much closer than you think. Sure, it's a relief when it's all over, but actually getting to the end can be quite a challenge. To all the college students preparing for the end of the semester, here are a few moments you probably know all too well.

1. Trying to find the motivation to finish strong

With only a few days left, it's really hard to work on final assignments and study when all you want to do is nap.

2. Distracting yourself in hopes that all your assignment and tests will disappear

Going on a trip to the mall? Sure! See you at bingo later? Of course! Starting to pack to go home? You know it! Getting that paper done? No, it can wait until tomorrow.

3. Being granted an extra day to finish an assignment that you didn't start yet

And you know you'll still wait until the last minute to do it.

4. When your friends can't hang out because they're busy being studious

They have their papers turned in, presentations ready, and notes all memorized while you just opened your backpack for the first time today.

5. When your professor asks if anyone has any last-minute questions

Can you tell us exactly what's going to be on the final?

6. Trying to find a healthy way to relieve all the stress

It's a lot better than taking out your stress on the real person.

7. Daydreaming about your summer plans

And it's the only thing keeping you sane right now as the semester winds down.

8. When someone asks if you started studying for finals yet

You're joking, right?

9. Having all your papers due the same day

I swear, professors plan this on purpose. It's nice to get them all out of the way but writing them all at once is a different story.

10. Finally finding a few minutes to eat during the day

Or shoving food in your mouth on the way to class because waking up on time is a real issue right now.

11. Trying to get last-minute extra credit from a professor who never gives out extra credit

Is that a new shirt you're wearing? It looks so nice! Where did you get it? Oh and have I told you how inspiring you are to me? Has anyone told you that before?

12. When you and your best friend both pass your finals

Teamwork goes a long way, my friend.

13. Passing your most difficult course this semester

It was a burden in the moment, but now that it's over, I feel like I should have my degree.

14. Celebrating the much-appreciated arrival of summer break

Hopefully it's more play than work, but college isn't going to pay for itself!

To any graduating seniors, enjoy these last few days before you enter the "real world"! You've made us all very proud! And to any underclassmen, remember that you are now one year closer to the light at the end of the tunnel. Push through these finals and take a much-needed break off to recharge for next year. Summer 2017, here we come!

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
