You’ve been there for me through thick and thin. Loved me through the awkwardness of adolescence and supported me through the tough transitions of college. So thank you for…
1. Being there for me when I was at my worst.
Whether is was finding out that guy cheated on me or because of my parents’ divorce, you were always there to hold me and dry my tears.
2. Knowing my favorite song.
Even though I overplay it, you're always willing to blast it one more time since you know it puts me in a better mood.
3. Accepting me into your family.
Your parents have taken me as one of their own. I cannot explain how much their support and cheesy birthday texts mean to me. I love not only your parents, but your siblings as well. It has been an honor to grow up with them.
4. Doubling my closet.
I already have too many clothes as it is, but more options never hurts. Plus I love that new shirt you bought.
5. Always being down to get take out.
Obviously, we’re going to Wegman’s to get Chinese food and watch a movie in your basement as we pig out.
6. Letting me cry on the phone about petty things.
That guy didn’t call me back? Yup, I probably am going to cry, but at least I know I have you in my corner no matter what.
7. Being honest with me.
Yes, you listened to me cry about that guy, but told me to suck it up. Also, thank you for telling me that shirt does not look good on me.
8. Forgiving me after that fight.
We rarely fight, but a disagreement is bound to happen in a decade. We fought, we apologized, and we forgave.
9. Making impulsive decisions with me.
Some of the best memories we have are our last minute decision to jump off that bridge senior year, going all out for the themed party we forgot about, or dancing in the rain.
10. Taking crazy pictures with me.
Looking back, I now laugh at how silly and young we were.
11. Showing me true beauty.
Not only on the outside, but your talent, kindness and intelligence separate you from everyone else.
12. Loving me through the awkwardness of eighth grade.
Let's be honest, that was an awkward year as we enter adolescence. Why did we feel the need to Oovoo after being together at school all day? More importantly, why take a screenshot of us staring at each other?
13. Making me laugh until I cry.
We have some many inside jokes from the last decade, even just one word from you can make me burst out into laughter.
14. Teaching me that family is not only blood.
Over the last 10 years, you have not only been my best friend, but my confidant, shoulder to cry on, biggest supporter, therapist and sister.
