1. Gather the troops.
Quit thinking that Valentine's Day is about lovers when it's about love. Surround yourself with the people (and/or) the pets that make your heart happy.
2. If you can't be around them, call them.
"No, mom, I'm not in jail. I just wanted to tell you I love you."
3. Pop a bottle.
Bring on the bubbly.
4. Order pizza.
Cosmos pizza! Is the pizza! For you and meee!
5. Eat the whole damn thing.
You Can focus on those New Year's resolutions later.
6. Treat every Valentine's Day like you did when you were in kindergarten.
Hand out those fun little Valentine's Day cards and put a little heart by your crush's name and maybe give them an extra lollipop, works every time. But seriously, if Valentine's Day was fun when we were five, why can't it be fun now?
7. Forget Cupid, shoot the damn arrow yourself.
Sometimes, Cupid can't aim. So go with your gut, follow your heart, and don't be afraid to make the first move. There's no better time than the present Valentine's Day, after all.
8. Meet new people.
Channel your inner "Date Mike" and go get 'em hot stuff.
9. Feel all the feels.
Valentine's Day can evoke a lot of emotions, so let it all out. The longer you hold it in, the more it'll consume you.
10. But don't sweat the small stuff.
Quit overthinking, you're going to give yourself an aneurysm.
11. Accept change.
It's constant, it's happening as we speak- embrace it.
12. Accept yourself.
You Can't truly love other people if you don't love yourself. You're doing the best you can, and that's more than enough.
13. Tell people how you really feel.
Whether that be...
or...
Like I said, good or bad, feel all the feels. "I love you" isn't the only thing that has to be said on Valentine's Day.
14. Move on.
You can get 10 free wings at Hooters for shredding a picture of your ex on Valentine's Day, but that's beside the point. If something is holding you back or is stuck in the back of your mind, let that ish go. Realize that you deserve the best and the best won't make you cry at 2am, and realize that just because something is good, doesn't necessarily mean it's good for you.
