Having a sister really comes in handy; she inevitably becomes your best friend for life mostly because she's forced to live with you and bond with you. Having a sister who only has a few years in age difference is probably one of the luckiest things that's ever happened to me, and if you have one too, then you surely can understand why. Here are 14 things you can probably relate to if your sister is one of your best friends:

1. Her sense of humor is too similar to yours, so you can make side comments about your family members that you'll both be able to appreciate and laugh to

2. The kitchen is for catching her do the “whip” (along with other ridiculous dance moves) as she cooks up the most perfect piece of bacon

3. You’ve become a pro at catching the savage remarks she mumbles under her breath while you're both in public

4. After she gets pissed at you for stealing her clothes, you know just the food place to order from so that she forgives you just enough to not kill you (chicken tenders and fries are my personal go to)

5. You find her in your bed more often than you’d like

6. You always get to be the first to hear her complaints about the season finale of whichever series she’s binge watching that week

7. She sees how disgusting, annoying or cranky you can get, very audibly calls you out on it, but will still sit in the same room with you (mostly because she has to, but I tell myself it’s because she loves me)

8. The photo library associated with your text messages to each other is 50% screenshot text messages, 20% photos she’s debating on posting to Instagram, and 30% screenshot Snapchats of you with no purpose, context or explanation.

9. Your Snapchat streak with each other is one of the highest you have

10. She’ll find a tweet on Twitter and send it to you with the caption “lmao, this is you”, and she couldn’t have been more spot on

11. She gets more excited about your successes and accomplishments than you do

12. Even though she might be only a few years older than you, or maybe even younger than you, she’s still basically your second mom

13. She’s the first one you hit up for a “favor” when it’s been 10 minutes since you’ve posted a tweet and no one has liked it yet

14. Finally, she's your role model, your late night McDonalds run go to, and, of course, your best friend

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
