Calling all Rehoboth Beach lovers!

14 Things To Love About Rehoboth Beach
tripadvisor.com

I've been going to Rehoboth Beach in Delaware every summer since I was a kid. It is without a doubt my second home. If you love Rehoboth beach, you probably love these 14 things too!

1. Dolle’s Salt Water Taffy

Open since 1927 in Rehoboth, stopping by Dolle’s while you’re here is always a must. Don’t forget the annual family pic next to the sign while you grab some of their to-die-for caramel popcorn.

2. The Boardwalk

I don’t even need to say anything else.

3. The Candy Kitchen

They’re scattered all over Rehoboth, but the best one is right on the corner of the Boardwalk!

4. Watching a Sunrise

Once you’ve finally dragged yourself out of bed, it’s fun to wander out onto the deserted boardwalk and grab a donut and some coffee from that one little store that happens to be open. Just beware once you set your breakfast down on the beach… The seagulls are always waiting.

5. Funland!

If you’ve been here, you get the hype. It’s the perfect way to spend the night after a long day at the beach. You’ve probably been on almost every ride. From the Paratrooper to The Sea Dragon that always looks like it’ll hit the roof of that house out back (It never has), to that awesome kiddie ride you used to go on with the little boats that circled around that slightly creepy, and rusted, mermaid statue. (They repainted her by the way).

And lets not forget the Haunted Mansion! Gets me every time, (I'm in the gray).

6. Beach House Hunting

Surrounding Rehoboth beach, tucked away from the boardwalk and all things touristy, are the most picturesque little beach side neighborhoods. If you don’t own or rent a house here, you sure wish you did. Sometimes you even walk or bike ride through them while you visit.

7. Grotto Pizza

If you’ve been to Rehoboth, you’ve eaten here. Their pizza is something else.

8. Thrasher’s Fries and Kohr Brothers

While on the subject of food, why not, right? If pizza, saltwater taffy and popcorn didn’t do it for you, French fries and ice cream sure will. Thrasher’s Fries and Kohr Bros ice cream have spots set up all along the boardwalk, just waiting for you to give in… And those fries really are worth the seagulls following you.

9. Rehoboth Avenue

This is like the “Main street” of Rehoboth beach. There are tons of awesome shops that range from clothing stores, tacky (but awesome) beach gear, and must try restaurants to old-fashioned Portrait studios; you name it, it’s here. You always designate a day of your trip to window shop, and let's not forget the beautiful view of the ocean in front of you!

10. Penny Lane Mall

This is the cutest little nook of shops, located right off Rehoboth Ave. There is homemade lemonade, a toy store, jewelry, flower arrangements and more. You love to pass through Penny Lane while out and about.

11. Watching Live Music

There’s always some kind of live music act being put on at the Rehoboth beach bandstand, and you love plopping down on one of the many white benches with an ice cream cone to watch.

12. Mini Golfing is a Must

Don’t know what else to do? Mini golfing is the answer. My personal fave is located at the Sea Shell Shop.

13. Family Friendly

Sure every place has its oddballs, but Rehoboth beach is the perfect combo of summer tourist destination and relaxed beachside town all mixed into one.

14. The Jolly Trolley

Whether you've actually been on one of these, or have just seen them around, you can agree, these "Jolly Trollies" are everywhere.

Tamatoa created a liar filled with shiny things simply for the purpose of tricking fish to enter and become his food. He too experiences a lesson in how easy it is to be tricked by shiny things when Moana distracts him by covering herself in glowing algae so Maui can grab his hook.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.
