14 Things I Want To Do Before I Turn 21

In This Article:

We all have a bucket list, but will we ever actually complete it? I set a time limit on my bucket list so I would be more motivated to complete each task.

1. Have my own place.

I feel like this is a given. By the age of 21, I should be a junior in college. I should have my own house/apartment by this time.

2. Take a roadtrip with my best girl friends

Road trips are so much fun, but girl friends could make it SO much better.

3. Have my own puppy

My family has had puppies before, but I've never had the full responsibility of having my own pup.

4. Travel to a place i've never been before

Whether it's a city 30 minutes from me or a whole different state, I just want to explore somewhere outside of my hometown.

5. Take a risk

Swimming with sharks? Sky diving? Cliff jumping? I'm not sure which I'll tackle, but I definitely want to try at least one of these activites.

6. Travel out of the country

I've been all over the united state, and I loved it! However, I want to be able to explore another country and its culture.

7. Start a collection

Of what? I don't know yet, but I think It'd be so cool to find something that I'm really passionate about and to collect whatever that is.

8. Overcome a fear

I have fears of public speaking, the ocean, and the dark. Maybe one of these days, I can face my fear and conquer it.

9. Run (or attempt to) a marathon

I am SO out of shape; however, I want to attempt a marthon just to see how far I could make it.

10. Learn how to cook a real meal

So far, the only food I can is grilled cheeses. They're really good grilled cheeses, but I can't live off them forever.

11. See a musical

I love musicals, but I've never seen a live one.

12. Go to a music festival

Hangout Fest, VooDoo, Coachella, or even one that I've never heard of. A music festival would be such a fun experience with amazing memories.

13. Have an exercise routine

I always tell myself that I want to excercise more; however, it never really happens. I want to be able to put in place a daily workout routine to keep me healthy.

14. Camp in an actual tent

I've camped in a camper before, but I really want to go old school and camp with just a tent and sleeping bags. I may even do it in my own backyard.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
