1. Flowers

It is cliche, but nothing beats a single rose. Red, white, blue, black, it doesnā€™t matter. You donā€™t even have to buy them, pick them from a neighbors garden. Sheā€™ll appreciate the thought.

2. Chocolate

You can NEVER go wrong with chocolate. NEVER. Well, unless she is allergic. Then donā€™t get her chocolate. She might die.

3. Dinner date

Whether it is take-out, a sit-in place, McDonaldā€™s, or a home-cooked (slightly burnt) meal, she will love the thought and the time you put into it. But order pizza just in case you canā€™t make that lasagna.

4. Homemade gift

Paint a canvas. Carve some wood. Make her a jewelry box. Paint a paint-by-numbers. It doesnā€™t have to be all hearts and love, but it can be something homemade. When you take the time to do something with your hands, she sees the time, effort, thought, and most of all love.

5. You to plan a date night

Not just dinner, but maybe a trip to the zoo. Donā€™t ask her what she wants to do, you choose. Because nothing is sweeter than a guy who knows what we like and is willing to try to figure it out if they donā€™t know.

6. Personal time with you

Donā€™t have a lot of money? Rent a dollar movie or netflix and chill. You donā€™t necessarily need to buy food. Get in the kitchen together and bake dinner and cookies. I am sure your mom would lend you her kitchen.

7. Movies to watch together

Most places have a video store or a redbox, grab a few that you and her want to see and watch them. Maybe youā€™d rather see the new XXX, so take her. The movies, whether at home or in the theater, are fun and can make for a night of relaxation and time together.

8. To go see Fifty Shades Darker

Yea, most of us want to go see this movie, so, take us. Hint hint to my own love. It is a ā€œromanceā€, but it may just get you some romance. ;)

9. Go somewhere different

Maybe instead of staying at home, rent a room in a higher end hotel with the good breakfast in the morning and a beautiful king-sized bed and on demand. Sometimes a night away is as good as it gets.

10. Go on a roadtrip

Get in the car and drive. Sleep in the back and just go. Of course this takes some planning, money, and time, but if done right, you will have a great time. Maybe you have a girl that likes to camp, so take her. Maybe she likes the luxuries of life, so go to a place she has never been. Maybe she really wants to see an attraction a few states over, take her.

11. Shopping

Some girls live for the mall, maybe you have to sit in shops for hours, but at the end, she will be relaxed and happy. Isnā€™t that all you could ever want?

12. A play or musical

She may be into plays or musicals, so see what the local theaters got going on, it may even be something that sounds interesting to you. Maybe you go to one that is a little pricey, but hey, it doesnā€™t matter. The fact that you thought of it does, though.

13. A puppy or kitten (or both)

This is for those of us who live together and have the time and energy and are in the right place for animals. But a puppy and or a kitten is a good way to move forward in your relationship and show her you are committed to her.

14. Your time

Nothing is better than your time. Nothing. This list has a variety of things and some take money, others take a lot of money, some take nothing, others take a lot of planning. But the one thing they all have in common is your time. They all take time. Whatā€™s that telling you?

She just wants your time.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
