Just like most of us, I grew up on Disney movies. By watching these, not only did I realize I needed to be able to sing like an angel and have hair down to my ankles in order to be beautiful, but I learned many other valuable life lessons as well. Who needs school or mature, adult role models when you could have cartoon princesses and talking animals to show you right from wrong?
- "The Little Mermaid" — Change yourself for a man. It doesn't matter if it means giving up the one thing that defines you and makes you happy.
- "Beauty and the Beast" — Stockholm Syndrome is really romantic.
- "Aladdin" — No one will love you unless you're rich or from a well to-do family. Also having a tiger as a pet is very safe.
- "Sleeping Beauty" — Why have an alarm clock when a prince can kiss you instead?
- "Cinderella" — The only way you'll make an impression on a man is by what you're wearing. Also, if birds don't help you get dressed, you're doing it wrong, peasant.
- "Frozen" — Isolating yourself from the people you love is a great way to deal with your problems
- "Tangled" — Other people just aren't as pretty as those with long blonde hair.
- "Snow White" — Living in a house with seven men is totally normal.
- "Mulan" — No one will take you seriously unless you're a man (oh wait this is actually true).
- "Pocahantas" — The story of the white man and the Native Americans is a tender love story , not a story that ends in innocent people being savagely murdered and forced out of their homes!
- "Finding Nemo"/"Finding Dory" — Mental health problems are ... uh ... great comedic fun?
- "Toy Story" — Your childhood fear that your toys could come alive behind your back ... is actually true! Yikes!
- "Monsters Inc" — (See "Toy Story")
- "Inside Out" — Never move to San Fransisco because it will crush you emotionally and ruin your life.
