Winter break is a magical month during the school year where you actually don't have any school at all. You don't need to stress out about assignments or tests, dread walking to that 9:00 A.M. class in the freezing cold, or even wonder if you can manage to afford two meals in one day. Literally, your biggest concern is coming up with a plan on how you can wiggle your way out of going out with your friends from home that way you can watch another episode of "Making A Murderer."
Undoubtedly, there are moments where you're just dying to switch out your roommates from your parents back to your BFFs, but for the most part, being at home is pretty great. I would never wish to not come back to school (especially because my school, Ohio University, is like Disneyland for adults), but there are definitely a list of things that I'm always not ready to face upon my arrival back from winter break.
1. Being laughably broke.
2. All-nighters at the library.
3. Crowded bars.
Ugh. I miss my low-key bar at home.
4. Horrible Wi-Fi.
5. New Year resolution gym goers.
6. Assignments, exams, and responsibility in general.
7. Seeing your drunken hookup (mistake) on your way to class.
Nothing is worse than a sober encounter with a ghost from your past.
8. Loud neighbors.
9. The parking meter attendant.
10. No DVR.
But, how am I supposed to catch up on "Vanderpump Rules?"
11. Missing your pets.
Oh, and your parents.
12. Group projects.
13. Paying bills.
RIP to long hot showers.
14. Constant emails.
All of these problems go away immediately after you graduate, right? Just kidding, I know that a lot of my college life (being broke, stressed, and tired) will ultimately be my future no matter what. Ah, another reason why I wish I was on winter break...
