Being a girl definitely has its ups and downs. The cute clothes, manicures, and all that jazz are just some perks. But the cramps and having to put on make up all the time or else we get asked if we're tired are just two of the major struggles we face when it comes to being a female in today's world. Want to know more? Here's a list of struggles girls all around the world are facing on a day to day basis.

1. High Heels

Because nothing draws more attention in the club like you trying to walk with blisters but really looking like a baby giraffe fresh out of the womb in heels.

2. Panty Lines

You have an extensive collection of underwear in your drawers. The ones for the gym, the ones for a night out, the ones you wear when you don't want to wear underwear...

3. You have to shave everything

And once you do shave everything, it grows back twice as fast so its almost pointless to shave in the first place!

4. When you get a manicure and it chips the next day

The best feeling, to me anyways, is just to sit back, relax and get my nails done. Sometimes it can be an expense, sure, but they sure look pretty after. AND THEN THEY FRICKIN' CHIP THE NEXT DAY!

5. Having to use the bathroom while wearing certain outfits

Awe, you wore a super cute romper to the beach today? Good luck going to the bathroom in that! But, hey, if you can conquer this female milestone, more power to you!

6. Getting your hair stuck on your lip gloss

Forget driving with the windows down after just applying that new cute gloss from Sephora that you spent an un Godly amount of money on. Now your hair will have a sparkly gloss to it as well. Maybe just not the one you originally wanted...

7. When your hair tie breaks and a little bit of you dies inside

You've been running around all day between class, that nap and now you've finally made it to the gym. You go to put your hair up with your handy dandy hair tie that hasn't left your wrist in three days, go to put your hair up, and then snap. Your hair tie breaks and you feel a little something inside of you snap a little bit too.

8. When your ponytail is too tight...

You think you've gotten the perfect pony; your hair is away from your face, the length is perfect, and its so sleek. As the day goes on, your head starts to hurt and even throb. Its bad.

9. When you have to sneeze right after doing your mascara

You feel it coming on and you know there's no stopping it. You try everything in your power to not sneeze because your mascara is still wet. And then it happens. Boom. Mascara everywhere it isn't supposed to be.

10. When you rub your eyes but forget you still have make up on...

At the end of the day, you come home, put your feet up, reach up, rub your eyes and mid rub, you remember that you're still wearing make up and now look like a very tired raccoon.

11. Having to take your make up off before bed

Nothing makes me sadder than getting into my pjs, snuggling up with my thousands of blankets and then realizing I still have to take my make up off. I have to get up, turn the light on, go take my make up off, get back into bed, try to get comfy and it just doesn't work.

12. Eyebrows

Because who doesn't love getting hot wax ripped off of the super sensitive parts of your face??? Well there goes $10. That is like four drinks at Dunkin, but thank goodness I don't have caterpillars on my face anymore...

13. Hairstyling

Curlers, straighteners, hair dryers, oh my! Sure, it may leave lasting damage in your hair but at least it looks pretty after...right?

14. Contouring

Who doesn't love to wake up a half hour early just to contour their face when you'll probably mess it up with only five minutes before you have to leave? But when that contour is on point...damn. Go you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
