Thanksgiving is almost here. This means that Christmas will be here before we know it. One of the best, and probably most crazy times, to get ahead on your Christmas shopping is Black Friday. Here are a few familiar stages for anyone who has ever gone.

1. Making your game plan is key.

You have been looking at ads and know what stores have the best deals. You have it mapped out where to go first and where you need to end up by the time you are done.

2. Waiting to leave is the worst.

The anticipation is killing you. Even though you have a full stomach from Thanksgiving dinner, you are ready to walk it off shopping.

3. Trying to get into stores is always an adventure.

The crowds are lined up waiting to get into the stores.

4. Trying to navigate the stores through the crowds like:

There are people everywhere and certain aisles have been blocked off. Your normal shortcuts through the stores are impossible to get through.

5. Seeing that what you wanted is sold out.

The disappointing moment when you realize what you wanted it already sold out. You tried to be as quick as possible, but you still missed it.

6. Patience is key when waiting in line to pay.

If you thought the lines to get in were bad, the lines to pay are even worse.

7. Loading your car to the max.

You are done with your first store only to realize you don't have the room to put your items into your car. Now you are in an advanced game of Tetris with your car.

8. Next Store!

Because you can never just go to one.

9. Trying to not fall asleep in a store is so hard.

You have hit the time when you are starting to crash. You are starting to fall over and feel like you could fall asleep in the aisles.

10. Time to refuel.

Even though you know you have a time schedule, everyone needs to eat and refuel during their Black Friday experience.

11. Bathroom break?

Maybe all those coffees were a bad idea.

12. The drive home is bad depending if you're the driver or not.

This is the worst time for whoever drove. Everyone else who went shopping with you is asleep in your car, and you have to stay awake until you get home.

13. Bedtime!

Finally, a chance to lay down and catch up on all the sleep you just missed.

14. Cyber Monday

If you missed something or haven't had your fill of shopping, there is always Cyber Monday.

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Because no one ever really leaves.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
