You're going to meet a lot of people in your life and whether you realize it or not, these people are going to impact you. You'll meet people you love, people you hate, and people who you flat out will not even think about if you never saw them again. Most of these people you meet are probably going to be your friends in one way or another. Whether they're just an acquaintance or a best friend that you spend days on end with, they're going to change your life even if it's just for a moment.

However, there's one kind of friendship that each and every one of us craves the most. It's the friendship that you just kind of know when it happens because there's nothing else like it. It's like meeting a long lost soulmate who you can't ever remember not knowing. This friendship I'm talking about is a lifelong one. Even though your relationships and friendships are always shifting and changing, you know these friends are always here to stay. Deep down you probably know now who these friends are, and you most likely have many more that you're going to meet.

The feeling of meeting a lifelong friend is one you're probably already familiar with but just in case you're a little unsure, here are some signs that will prove your friendship is one that is going to last a lifetime:

1. When you first met, you instantly found a bunch of things in common.

This, for me, is a tell-tale sign of whether you're compatible with another person or not. Although some lifelong friendships can take longer to form, if you're able to only meet this person for two minutes and already have a bullet list of things to talk about, that proves how strong that friendship is going to be. So get all the small talk out of the way because you're going to get right into the deep stuff with this one.

2. You've already talked about going to each others' weddings.

Already planning to be in each others' weddings is a sure sign that you yourselves are planning for this to be a lifelong friendship. If you picture your wedding day right now and see your friend right there with you, odds are that you don't need me to tell you that this is a friend you're going to have for life.

3. You have an overwhelming amount of similar (yet strange) interests.

If you find someone who has your same interest in obscure TV shows, music, or even internet memes, you better keep them around because they are most likely going to be a friend for the rest of your life. There's no better feeling than someone validating your weird hobbies and interests by saying that they completely understand how you feel.

4. You never run out of things to talk about.

If you're with a lifelong friend, no topic is ever too weird, too boring, or too stupid to talk about. You will find a way to make each conversation interesting and you will never find yourself stressed about figuring out what to talk about next. Comfortable silences are KEY.

5. You can't imagine ever not knowing them.

This friend has already impacted your life so much that you can't even remember what life was like when you didn't know them. That time in your life almost seems like a different dimension because so much has happened since meeting them. You would never even think about going back to that time because what you have is too great.

6. You want to tell them every little thing about your day even though you know they won't care.

Even if you have the most uneventful day ever, you still want to tell them all about it. You're genuinely curious about the little details in each others' lives and no piece of information is too insignificant.

7. You've already planned for your kids to be friends.

If you've planned for your kids to be friends, you're going to be friends for life. Simple as that.

8. When you think of your happiest moments in life, they're in most of them.

When you look back on moments in your life when you were most happy, this friend was probably in most of them. In other words, if you completely erased this person out of your life, you would also be erasing some of your most happy and irreplaceable memories.

9. You've already planned for your husbands to be friends.

I mean... what more is there to say?

10. When you think of them you just kind of... smile.

This one is a little cheesy but also true. When you think of this friend, you most likely are going to think of something funny that you laughed about together or just the feeling of how happy you are to be around them.

11. You text them about the stupidest things.

If you text this friend only to tell them that you broke a nail that day or a cute guy in your class looked over at you for a split second, odds are they're going to be around for a while. They're basically the friend you go to with all of your random thoughts and feelings and honestly, that's one of the most important people in your life.

12. You assign each other roles in movies you're watching when you think you relate to the characters.

Watching movies will never be the same again because as soon as you notice even the slightest similarity between your friendship and the relationship between the characters, you'll be assigning each other roles for the remainder of the movie. That way, the movie is more entertaining and you'll be laughing about how the roles are just "sooo accurate."

13. You joke about getting married to each other if you never find a husband.

Since you two are already so compatible, why not just get married to each other instead of marrying guys who are just going to get in the way of your friendship?

14. You don't want to go through life without them.

When you picture your future, you picture them by your side. You want them to be with you through it all and, hey, if any of these signs sound familiar to you, chances are that they will be.

Without friends by your side, life loses some of its meaning. Good friends are there to hold you when you cry, laugh with you when life is funny, and encourage you to be nothing but yourself. That's why it's so important to make good friends, be a good friend, and be open to new friends because you never know when that one person is going to come around and fill that void you never even knew existed.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
