So, you're a fan of "Law & Order: SVU," but are you are a little too obsessed? If you any of the following statements are true for you, chances are your love for the "Special Victim's Unit" is a bit out-of-control.

1. You know the opening statement by heart.

In the criminal justice system, sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories. Dun dun.

2. You sing along to the theme song... even though it's instrumental.

Duh duh, do do do do -- doooo, doooooooo...

3. You can tell the season by Olivia's haircut.

And you're absolutely OK with that.

4. You can name all of Elliot Stabler's kids.

Maureen, Kathleen, Dickie, Elizabeth, and Eli. No shame.

5. You unhappily watch the newer seasons for Olivia and Finn.

And because you must watch every, single episode.

6. You've referred to Olivia Benson as 'Badass Benson' on more than one occasion.

It's an acceptable way to refer to Detective Benson.

7. You live for guest stars.

Like when Amanda Seyfried played a survivor trying to protect their assailant.

Or when Hilary Duff played a pseudo-Casey Anthony.

Or when Jesse McCartney was a member of the abstinence club.

Or when Mischa Barton played a pregnant hooker.

8. The friendship between Munch and Finn is unbearably adorable to you.

The ultimate bromance.

9. Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler will forever be your OTP.

But you still want Elliot and his wife to stay together.

10. You understand how great the lines are out of context, and they are always hilarious.

The script is ridiculous, but that's all a part of the appeal.

11. So are all the one-liners.

Oh Finn, no one understands white people.

12. You're a fan of SVU memes.

More like Detective BABEler, amiright?

13. These episodes truly break your heart.

Season 15 Episode 5; Munch's retirement.

Season 12 Episode 24; Elliot's last episode.

Season 15 Episode 11; Cragen's retirement.

14. And no matter how many times you've seen each episode, you always tune in to USA's Special Victims marathons.

**Cancels everything to watch your faves in action.**

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs.
