Dogs are definitely "man's best friend." There is nothing like the love a dog has for its owner. While I have some friends who are firm cat lovers, I deem myself one of the ultimate dog lovers. Here are 14 signs that you are obsessed with dogs.
1. You get overly excited every time you see one.
And you tend to be just as excited as this dog in a Santa Claus outfit is.
2. You make sure whoever you’re with knows you see a dog so they don’t miss out.
Sometimes you might jump up and down or may even accidentally punch your friend, just because you want to share the excitement of seeing a dog.
3. You cry any time you see something about a hurt or sad dog.
Facebook is known for showing sad articles and pictures of abused dogs. And we all know that animal cruelty commercial featuring the infamous Sarah McLachlan song gets us every time.
4. You look at pictures of your dog every day and talk about how much you love/miss them.
It doesn't matter if it's a good day or a bad day; you just want to be able to cuddle with your dog at the end of it all.
5. You make your parents send you pictures of your dog any time you’re away.
And then you proceed to obsess over them and show off the pictures like he/she is your child.
6. You have FaceTimed your dog.
FaceTiming your dog just isn't the same as actually seeing them in person, especially when your dog is utterly confused by technology.
7. Most of your conversations are about dogs.
Nothing to talk about? Dogs are always a good go-to.
8. You’ve also had a conversation with your dog…about dogs.
I've told my dog all of my secrets and when she's mad at me for leaving her, I've definitely had to give her a pep talk, "I'm sorry, I may have seen other dogs... but they don't compare to you."
9. You have walked dogs at the dog shelter to get your dog fix.
The real struggle is wanting to walk every single one of them but knowing you can't.
10. You claim that one day there will be nothing stopping you from adopting every dog because they deserve loving homes.
My life long goal is to own a dog farm.
11. You feel especially upset for the older dogs in shelters.
Why are they even in the shelter? They should be home with a loving family by now.
12. You close the door behind your dog when they’re in your room so they’re forced to love you.
The mischievous way to get your dog to love you when they've ignored you all day for squirrels and food.
13. You follow more dog accounts on social media than actual people.
"Well one of them is dedicated to pugs, and this one is for dogs that work out, and another one is of hot guys with dogs."
14. You don’t know what you would do without the love, affection, and loyalty of dogs.
Whoever said diamonds were a girl's best friend, clearly never had a dog.
