Like all majors, business has its own stereotypes. We're slackers, we like to party, and all we care about is money. While these are a bit extreme, there are a few signs of a business major that you can spot from across campus (the padfolio is usually a pretty good indicator). Every business major will know that these are a little too true:

1. You carry at least 10 resumes with you at all times

You never know when you'll meet someone important!

2. Your LinkedIn is more active than your Twitter

3. You have nightmares about networking

4. You dress business casual all the time

And everyone always asks you why you're so dressed up.

5. In fact, you own more dress pants than sweat pants

You get more excited about a sale at J. Crew than Forever 21.

6. And if you walk into the business school in street clothes, you feel super out of place

7. Speaking of the business school, you're always there

What is this chemistry building you speak of?

8. Students in other majors just assume you party all the time

No, our major is not a joke major and does require actual work.

9. You have a notebook of all your genius business ideas one day

What are you saying someone already invented a hairbrush that can take selfies? I invented that 2 years ago!

10. Your professors have told you your GPA doesn't matter as long as you know how to network

You basically have an excuse to socialize instead of studying for that test

11. You introduce yourself to new people with your elevator pitch

And you can recite anytime, anywhere.

12. You have a better handshake than a hug

13. You always ask yourself how you can improve something and make money off of it

14. You know you'll be the boss of all the other majors one day

Business majors are the best majors!

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
