Six seasons of drama, love, betrayal, cliffhangers, extravagant fashions and most importantly savage insults; Downton Abby forever will be my favorite T.V. series. We can all agree that no one served up insults in such an elegant manner as the Dowager Countess of Grantham. Here's 14 reasons we should all embrace our inner Dowager Countess of Grantham:

1. She may be the Dowager Countess of Grantham, but really she's the queen of subtle sass.


2. ...Or not so subtle sass.

3. She tells it like it is

4. She knows how to deal with the haters

5. Turn of the century fashion police if there ever was one

6. She has her priorities in order

7. Because every meal is the most important meal of the day

8. She could have ended World War II with one stare

9. Or her tactics of compromise

10. She's diplomatic with her enemies

11. She agrees to disagree

12. She knows her strengths

13. And isn't afraid to acknowledge her weakness

14. She's so eloquent, she needs no words to get her message across

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
