With the stress of school, the responsibility of running a student club or having a job, spending quality time with your favorite people, lack of sleep and keeping your grades up; it might be easy to get overwhelmed by stress and negative thoughts. Fortunately, I'm blessed to have many supportive people in my life that I can always count on to lift me up when I'm down. Most importantly, they remind me about how important positive thinking is, and how just a few sincere words have the ability to turn your day around!

I hope these short list of positive thoughts can brighten your day!

we get so overwhelmed by something that we forget that most things in life are temporary and are most likely to get better!


2. "The best way to gain self-confidence is to do what you are afraid to do."

We often become more afraid of doing something we really want to do than we should. Once you achieve that one thing that you are so stressed about, your confidence is going to grow so much more!

Let's admit it, we've all spent countless nights overthinking every single thing in our life. Sorting things out takes time and most likely won't get solved overnight, no matter how many times we think about it!

Even though happiness is very important, its ok to have harsh times, as they help us keep growing and understanding ourselves and the world.

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into.
