Screen Rant

Halloween is here and goodness, it's been an eventful 2016 so far. We got Stranger Things, and a Gilmore Girls revival (who does Rory end up with? I ~need~ to know) and also clowns. Way too many clowns. Halloween is the perfect time of the year to bring up the year's ups and downs, here are what are going to be the most popular choices of 2016.

1. Harley Quinn and The Joker

Expect to see the Joker and Harley Quinn all over the freaking place--Instagram, twitter, literally all over. This will probably be the couple's costume choice of 2016.

2. Eleven from Stranger Things

This Netflix hit show of Stranger Things will be sure to inspire multiple variations of costumes. Better go buy your waffles at the store now before they run out!

3. Harambe

Because 2016 is the year of memes, you'll probably see someone dressed up as Harambe. Harambe (may he rest in peace) was the hero that died a tragic death. This will be especially popular among the teenagers, mostly likely male, of course.

4. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton

I mean, is there anything positive I can say about this? Let's move on.

5. Beyoncé (from Lemonade, obviously)

Beyoncé's literally legendary album, Lemonade, set fire to 2016's music (see above for photographic evidence). I wouldn't be surprised to see people dressed in a mustard yellow dress holding a bat.

6. Leonardo Dicaprio's First Oscar

Afters years of being denied an Oscar, poor Leo finally got what he wanted. You can dress up as Leo carrying around an Oscar, or you can dress up as the Oscar. Or you could dress as Leo, and your friend could be the Oscar. The options are infinite.

7. Damn Daniel

This fool got famous for wearing white vans. Simplest Halloween costume achieved by wearing white vans. Done.

8. Olympic Athletes

Rio 2016 was amazing for our Olympic athletes, like seriously USA's women gymnastics team, daaaaayyyummm. Unless you were Ryan Lochte, yikes.

9. The Gilmore Girls

The revival of Gilmore Girls is sure to bring a slew of Rorys and Loreleis and lots of coffee to the table.

10. Ghostbusters

October weather has got nothing on these jumpsuits.

11. Deadpool

This costume is available for men, women, and children. A whole Deadpool family walking around sounds kinda awesome, honestly.

13. Clowns

THIS COSTUME IS FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO SOULS AND ARE EVIL, WE HATE THESE PEOPLE.

14. Ken Bone

So, instead of clowns, may I offer this beautiful costume choice of Ken Bone?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
