The 14 Kids On Every Playground

We were all kids once! Which one were you?

The 14 Kids On Every Playground

We all have one memory on the playground. Whether it's you getting bullied, playing basketball, or pushing your best friend on the swing set we all have that one thing that sticks out in our minds. We were all one of those types of kids. So sit back, relax, and see which one of The 14 Types of Stereotypical Schoolkids We All Know you are!

1. The Bookworm

That kid that read all the time. Wouldn't even put down the book to play tag!

2. The Jock

That annoying kid that thought he/she was "The Stuff" that couldn't be beat.

3. The Rich Kid

The one that always wore the preppy, cleanest nicest clothes and always brought the newest toy just to rub it in.

4. The Quiet One

You couldn't beat two words out of that kid! But dang, were they smart or what? It's like they never spoke, but when they did the wisdom of the ages came flowing out of their mouth.

5. The Redhead

You better not piss this kid off, because if you do you don't want to know what might happen!

6. The Bully

You probably better not piss this kid off either. I was stuffed into a locker once, and it wasn't fun!

7. The Math-lete

This is the kid that was doing trig in 3rd grade - you know, the one that always packed a pocket calculator that they didn't need because they could do it all mentally. Yeah. That kid.

8. The Imagineer

This kid was my friends and I. The Imagineer is the kid that pretended they were from a book, show, or movie and kept that character alive the whole playtime.

9. The Loner

This was the one kid that kinda just sat around all by their lonesome and preferred it that way!

10. The Musician

We all knew that one kid that had their headphones and CD player or MP3 player on them 24/7.

11. The Loudmouth

Not only is this kid the tattle-tale when something doesn't go their way, you couldn't shut this kid up. The mouth on that child went - on average - 149,763 miles per hour.

12. The Girly-Girl

If it had rained the day before, this girl would not go out. There was no way. This is a new dress. These are pretty shoes. And there will not be mud on either of them. By the way, pink isn't a color - it's a way of life.

13. The Tomboy/Cowboy

There was always that country kid that sang country songs or constantly talked about their favorite horse and how the Dukes of Hazzard were the "television sensation of the nation".

14. The Romeo

"The Romeo" is synonymous with "The Flirt". New kid in class? This kid was gonna get a peck on the cheek from her and partake in the disgusting act of hand-holding and trying not to get caught by the teacher.... Okay, maybe I was this one too. But that's the beauty of childhood: unless you're Peter Pan, you're gonna grow up and find yourself!

Enjoy seeing which kid you are and reminiscing on who your friends were!

"I've only slept nine hours over the past four days, so I'm right on the verge of a nervous breakdown." - Leslie Knope

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

1. When you've finally found the energy to leave your dorm room and walk into the lib like

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
