If you're like me, one of the worst things that can happen is seeing a spider in your room, looking away, then looking back, and it's gone in an instant. Moments after, you begin to get dizzy trying to think of where it went. "Is it above me? Is it in my sheets?" and the most terrifying: "Is it on me?"

Unfortunately for spiders, they have a bad reputation. Even more unfortunate, they are killed mainly because they are seen as scary, not dangerous. They may have eight legs, an unsettling amount of eyes and can always be around without you actually knowing, but they also do a lot of good for us. Some of the best benefits include eating countless mosquitoes, flies, wasps and other annoying insects and keeping homes and gardens free from harmful pests.

If that doesn't convince you, then here are just a few spiders to show how sometimes, they can be pretty cute.

1. This little guy is happy to see you.

2. Butterfly raindrop hat!

3. She's just stopping by to see how the kids are doing.

4. Rocky beginnings don't have to mean rocky endings.

5. FLAWLESS!

6. Eight legs just mean better hugs.

7. Nothing is itsy-bitsy about this spider's adorableness.

8. Even spiders can be homemakers.

9. It's even better to imagine this spider with two tiny drums.

10. The Lorax if he was a spider.

11. "Pretty in Pink" starring Molly Arachnid.

12. Count me in for friendship!

13. Even fluffy spiders need love.

14. And we're out.

If you are still terrified of spiders after reading this, it may be helpful to know that without spiders, up to 2,000 insects would be alive in your home.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
