"One Tree Hill" is full of amazing characters that have impacted everyone who has binge-watched the hell out of it on Netflix. Haley Bob James-Scott is easily one of the most underrated characters in the whole series. Haley is the mother we all want, the friend we all need, and the ideal inspiration.

1. You have to be willing to fight for love.

Through all the ups and downs of the Haley James—Nathan Scott relationship, Haley never lost faith in them.

2. It’s okay to take a breather.

Sometimes life just hits you, and you need to take a step back and regroup.

3. Follow your dreams.

Because who knows, you may become a teacher, a mother, and a famous singer-songwriter that tours around the country.

4. Trust in your friends, because they always have your back.

Peyton, Brooke, and Haley against the world.

5. ...Because you should always have theirs.

Nothing could ever top the Haley James/Lucas Scott friendship...nothing!

6. Remember who you are, and never lose sight of that.

Haley always stays true to herself and keeps it 100 percent real the whole time.

7. Family is everything.

They stick with you through thick and thin, and at the end of the day, they will always love you.

8. Love fiercely.

Haley and Nathan have one of the most amazing relationships, but it’s only because they give all of themselves. She never loses faith in their relationship and loves Nathan unconditionally. Forever and always.

9. It’s okay to lose it.

You can’t keep it together all the time, and sometimes you just need to break down and cry.

10. Life is too short to waste a moment.

#TutorGirl always spreading the knowledge.

11. It’s okay to not know who you are every second of your life.

Tutor girl to cheerleader to wife to mother to teacher to singer, Haley evolves more than anyone in Tree Hill. But even with all these labels, even Haley feels lost at times and that is okay!

12. Don't let anyone tell you how to live your life.

Or try to change who you are or what you stand for.

13. Never give up on hope.

Sometimes it's the only thing that keeps us going. Haley never gives up on Nathan, on herself, on her friends. She sees the good in others and always holds out hope that things will turn out for the better.

14. Pass on what you’ve learned.

Jamie Scott is the luckiest kid in the whole world because his mom is Haley James-Scott. She's the woman with it all: wisdom, smarts, self-respect, and the strongest moral compass.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way.
