NBC

" The Office" is that painfully awkward show that you can't help but laugh at. Whether it be Jim's shenanigans with Dwight, such as putting his stapler in jello or faxing him letters from Future Dwight or Michael's utter hatred for Toby, "The Office" is far from predictable. If you couldn't tell, it's one of my favorite shows. Even though The Office has some unexplainable moments, there are some moments where impeccable advice can be taken by the witty characters. And maybe I'm a bit biased because this has become one of my favorite series ever, but still each character brings a fresh new perspective on life. Except Toby.

1. To always shoot for the stars.

You should always learn to strive for greatness and try to be the best, and that's exactly what Michael is saying...especially for limbo. How low can you go?

2. That ice cream does not have a prime time to be consumed.

Some rules are meant to be broken.

3. That opening doors may cause some embarrassment but also help you find out some truth.

This may not be the best advice, but the truth and honesty is always the best policy.

4. That we are all the same, no matter what.

Our sexual preference, sexual identity, ethnicity, race, gender and stereotypes do not define who we are. Inside we are all the same, and we should learn to treat everyone as such.

5.To not just take people's crap, and let them know they're in the wrong.

Just because you're a nice person, does not mean in any way that you should put up with the endless, shall i say for lack of a better word, crap that people put you through, You do deserve answers, and sometimes people fail to realize that your feelings matter just as much as theirs do.

6. That just because someone does something, doesn't mean you should too.

Honestly no caption needed. Just do you, and think things through.

7. That our parents are probably our biggest criticizers of our life with the most disciplinary action for it.

Creed was always that odd character, but sometimes he did make some sense.

8. That it's OK to not have it all figured out and feel like running away is the only option.

Obviously running away from your problems won't fix them or make it better, but then again it's good to get some fresh air from the situation.

9. That it's OK to be lazy AF sometimes.

You don't have to be proactive every second, sometimes it's good to kick back and relax.

10. That being ignored and annoyed happens to everyone, even the "best of friends."

Sometimes people just need their space, and that's okay.

11. An answer to, "Would you rather be feared or loved?"

Although this is very witty, there is some Michael Scott wisdom behind it, that being afraid of love is better than being feared itself.

12. To not waste your time with some people.

Sometimes it's impossible to get through to people, so it's best to not dwell on it. There are plenty of open-minded people that you should spend your time with instead.

13. That sometimes people have a limit on the number of chances they get in your life.

Although the saying is a bit off, Michael is on to something here. Some people don't deserve the multitude of chances we tend to offer. Weeding out the toxic people in your life will only provide a more joyous life.

14. To always cherish what you have before it's gone.

OK, this is like probably the saddest quote from the show. Honestly, no matter the highs and lows of life, always be appreciative of what you have because you never know what curveballs life has in store.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
