Seasonal allergies. They are pesky, annoying, and downright awful at times. They may only pop up in the Spring and Fall months but they never fail to put a damper on the changing of the seasons when the weather is finally decent. Here are fourteen truths that are all too relatable for us allergy sufferers:

1. When you are ecstatic that winter is finally over but you know that your allergies are going to start up again.

2. When the dreaded day finally comes when your allergies start bothering you and you are very unprepared.

3. When you actually have to remember to take your allergy medicine now AND pick up your prescription.

4. Those awful days when you forget to take your allergy medicine.

5. Or, when it's such a bad allergy day that your medication does not really even help you.

6. You always have tissues on you. Always.

7. When your friends invite you to do a seemingly fun outdoor activity with them for the day... but it's the middle of allergy season...

8. Or, when your workout buddy wants to start exercising outside because it's "so nice out."

9. Wearing eye makeup is very difficult because of the watery eyes.

10. When you're talking to someone and they ask if you're crying.

11. When people think you're sick but you are really just dealing with an average allergy day.

12. You still have horrible flashbacks and nightmares about when you got tested for allergies.

13. When someone opens the windows.

14. When allergy season finally ends.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
