Food college kids live on. I don't know about you but I have a few go to foods. Things I live off of when I have no time to make anything else and have no desire to go out and spend any money. They are the kind of foods that one day I will probably never eat again because I have ain't them so much now.

1. Cottage cheese

This might be a weird one and I haven't liked it for long, but I'm obsessed. I probably eat some every single day. It might be a problem.

2. Hot dogs

They are just so easy and so simple and it is protein so it's good for you right?

3. Pizza

Pizza is life. Cook in the common kitchen or order in, it's perfect for any meal, breakfast, lunch or dinner!

4. Pizza pockets

Pizza pockets are for when your too lazy to bake your own or too cheap to order in. Pop them in the microwave for the perfect pizza snack. I do not know about you but i like mine with a dab of ranch dressing on the side.

5. Hot pockets

Again these are similar but, they come in so many more flavors! These literally come in breakfast form, which are probably my favorite ones! they are also more handy to eat on the run.

6. Chicken nuggets

Whether you go get McDonald's or its out of the freezer, you couldn't survive college without chicken nuggets. Personally I prefer the ones that come in the 4 for $4 at Wendy's!

7. Mac & cheese

With macaroni and cheese there is nothing like mom's homemade but when your away at college, the box life it is. Kraft Macaroni and Cheese is a meal in a box for most.

8. Protein bars

Protein Bars or just granola bars in general are one of those on the go meals when your already 5 minutes late for class and cannot spare even enough time to cook that hot pocket.

9. Ramen noodles

When payday is still two days out, you live off these. Nothing is cheaper and some of us actually do like them! Just watch it though because they are extremely high in salt!

10. Peanut butter crackers

When I am at work, you can almost always find some of these on my counter. they are the perfect bite size snack for in between customers with plenty of protein to keep you going, but make sure you have a drink!

11. Cereal

There is nothing better than a bowl of cereal when you get off work. Yes, I am that weird one that eats cereal at night instead of for breakfast!

12. Tacos

Now Tacos, you have to get from Taco Bell. There is no option. They are cheap enough you cannot even complain about the price.

13. Caffeine

I know it is not food but, I do not think most people would make it to class without caffeine. whether it is coffee, Monsters, or Red Bull, or some other source, all college students seem to max out on caffeine.

14. Alcohol

and the reason we all need the caffeine? should be late nights studying, but mostly it is late nights drinking. That is what college is for! Just be careful!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
