14 Costumes For People Who Forgot About Halloween

This is also for people who are just really lazy.

It is almost Halloween. I mean, the whole month of October (and even the tail end of September) seems like Halloween, but the official holiday is in approximately a week. I have, admittedly, never been a huge fan of Halloween, even as a child. Part of that is because I am pretty bad at thinking of costumes. People usually plan their costumes at least by October and I’m the person who suddenly realizes it’s October 30 and I still don’t have a costume. Oops.

I can’t be alone in my lack of creativity and poor planning. So, in light of this and in an attempt to curb my notorious procrastination (but not my laziness), I have compiled a list of easy DIY Halloween costumes which you can make with minimal effort before the 31st.

Individual costumes

1. Stick figure

Show off the extent of your artistic abilities with a slightly more creative outfit. Or, you know, just do this one.

2. Donut

All you need is a swimming tube, TP rolls, paint and glue. Voila!

3. Jellyfish

The Great Barrier Reef isn’t dead! Click here for instructions on how to make 3 different jellyfish costumes.

4. Scarecrow

What could be more autumn-y than a scarecrow? I mean, besides a pumpkin. Or a pumpkin spice latte. But you know, scarecrows work, too. Click here for other scarecrow costumes.

5. Bag of jellybeans

6. Sushi

Mm. Sushi.

7. Bat

You finally have a use for that old broken umbrella you haven't thrown out yet.

8. Iron Chef

Fulfill all of your culinary dreams with a chemistry joke.

9. Freudian slip

I had to include this one. I may have just found my Halloween costume, folks.

Also, the website this comes from has a bunch of terribly punny costumes, so check them out here.

Couple/Group costumes

10. Social media

If you must.

11. Dora and Diego

12. Waldo (and/or Wenda)

You’ve finally found your costume and everyone else has finally found you.

13. Cosmo and Wanda

How could you not want to be the best fairly odd parents around?

14. Robbers

You can even be really cheesy and instead of putting the dollar sign on the bag, put something like “I stole his/her heart.” *cue sarcastic "Awww!"*

--------

And if you don’t like any of those, I’ve compiled a playlist of DIY costume videos for you. You’re welcome. Happy costume making!

Christmas Tree

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
