As a teen, moving is the best and worst thing that could ever happen to you. It's exciting, because it's a new place with new adventures. It's awful, because it's leaving behind all the people you care about most. I'm here to give you hope, to let you know it's possible to continue building up friendships, even when you're 3,000 miles away. Here's 15 things that change when you move away from your best friend:

1. You can’t sleepover at their house every night.

2. You hear all the drama a day too late.

3. You miss their family.

4. You get busy, and might not be able to talk every day.

5. When you do talk, there’s SO much to say.

6. You always answer their call, even if it’s 3 AM.

7. You get insanely jealous when they make new friends.

8. You miss not being able to spend birthdays and holidays with them.

9. Half your conversations start with, “remember when we…”

10. Getting to see them is better than Christmas.

11. Instead of planning sleepovers, you’re planning trips to see them.

12. Remembering to send birthday gifts is hard.

13. You get used to not seeing them every day, and it sucks.

14. Some days, you only communicate by tagging each other in weird videos.

15. You grow closer than ever before.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
