During the Summer, Texas is full of life and opportunity to explore and get outdoors. Here is a list of free and cheap things to try this Summer:

1. Cool off at Barton Springs at Zilker Park.

This local oasis is one of Austin's most popular spots in the Summer. With a temperatures ranging from 68 to 70 degrees, this natural spring pool will be an awesome add to your Summer bucket list.

2. Visit the hidden grotto known as Hamilton Pool.

Located 23 miles from Austin, Hamilton Pool Preserve is an oasis to be seen.

3. Jump in to Jacob's Well.

This jump is not for the faint of heart, due to the dark caves that lie below this small pool. With a reservation now required for visit, this place is worth the wait.

5. The five Mile Dam Park.

The 5 Mile Dam down Post Road in Kyle is a beautiful place to see the sun go down or share drinks with friends.

6. Hike the Barton Creek Greenbelt in Austin.

The Greenbelt has been known for having several off-trail spots for climbing and diving in addition to it's beautiful hiking trails.

7. Watch the sunset at Mount Bonnell.

This lookout spot is at an easy access point and gives a stunning view for a Summer Night.

8. See a drive in movie at Stars and Stripes Theatre.

The New Braunfels theater offers a wide array of movies and times.

10. Hop in the River at John Stokes Park.

In San Marcos, you can find waterfalls and rope swings at this gorgeous river park.

11. Listen to live blue grass at Tantra.

Wednesday nights at 8 p.m., Tantra Coffee House down Hopkins, bands and friends alike gather for a good time and live music.

13. Experience Austin's music scene at Blues on the Green.

Blues on the Green is held once a month at Zilker Park, where live Blues bands play for Austin.

14. Spray at Hope Outdoor Gallery.

Tagging a name or adding a piece of graffiti to the gallery is a must this Summer.
