14 Beyoncé Lyrics To Keep You Motivated Until The End Of The Semester
Playbuzz

It's that time in the semester when us college students start to develop a pretty severe case of the mid-semester blues. Spring break is unfortunately over (adios, Cancún), and basically the only thing we have to look forward to in the next two months is homework, no sleep, and the dreaded Finals Week. With the remainder of the semester looking pretty bleak, it's difficult to find the motivation to finish strong. But fear not, defeated college goers: there is a solution. Her name is Beyoncé. Whenever I'm feeling down in the dumps and unmotivated, I simply ask myself, WWBD or What Would Beyoncé Do? Queen B exudes such confidence and ambition in her everyday life that it's no surprise she's as successful as she is. So if you want to get your butt into gear and feel as fabulous as Beyoncé does every day, here are 14 Beyoncé lyrics (with YouTube videos linked on the song titles) to make you feel unstoppable in achieving your semester goals.

1. ***Flawless

You wake up, flawless
Post up, flawless
Ridin' round in that, flawless
Flossin' on that, flawless

I woke up like this,
I woke up like this,
We flawless, ladies tell 'em

When you're feeling ***Flawless, your work will be ***Flawless. Boom.

2. Diva

Fifty million round the world and they say that I couldn't get it
I done got so sick and filthy with Benjis, I can't spend it.

Been the number one diva in this game for a minute!

Just remember that when you have your degree and a boss job, you'll be the number one diva for the rest of your life--and hopefully with fifty million Benjis.

3. Upgrade U

Ladies that's a good look
When you're in them big meetings for the mills

Meetings stink, but Beyoncé encourages them; therefore, you should attend. #logic

4. 7/11

Mad cause I'm so fresh
Fresher than you
I'm fresher than you
Fresher than you

Feelin' fresh = confidence booster. Confidence booster = get stuff done. Boom squared.

5. Party

I may be young, but I'm ready

...to finish all this work!! Am I right guys?!

6. Freakum Dress

I think I'm ready
Been locked up in this house way too long

Beyoncé is clearly promoting that sometimes a change of study space is good for productivity. I would highly recommend a coffee shop for getting assignments done; there's background noise, food, and coffee: the perfect combo for getting things done.

7. Run the World (Girls)

Who run the world? Girls!

My persuasion can build a nation
Endless power

We're smart enough to make these millions

Help me raise a glass for the college grads

Ladies, remember that when you're riding the struggle bus to complete that research paper, Queen Bey herself will toast you on your graduation day. If that's not motivation enough to get your work done, then I don't know what is.

8. Sweet Dreams

Every night I rush to my bed

...to get at least eight hours of sleep because a good night's rest is important to feeling good and staying motivated during the day!

9. Listen

Oh, the time has come
For my dreams to be heard
They will not be pushed aside

Beyoncé says it all: follow your dreams and don't let anyone or anything get in the way of that--especially the mid-semester blues.

10. Why Don't You Love Me?

I even put money in the bank account
Don't have to ask no one to help me out

I got beauty, I got heart
Keep my head in them books, I'm sharp

The only person you need in your life to achieve your goals is yourself. Get that degree and get that money, girl.

11. Best Thing I Never Had

You don't deserve my tears
I guess that's why they ain't here

This is what you tell your assignments when you feel like stress-crying. There's no sense in stressing; just take a deep breath and push on.

12. Ego

Some women were made
But me, myself?
I'd like to think that I was created
For a special purpose

And that special purpose is achieving your goals and getting that degree. You are an intelligent, beautiful young woman handcrafted by the stardust of this earth to do whatever it is your heart wants. Use that to your advantage.

13. Formation

I dream it, I work hard, I grind 'til I own it

I go hard (I go hard)
Get what's mine (Get what's mine)
I'm a star (I'm a star)
Cause I slay (slay)

Okay ladies, now let's get in formation

Slay that homework, girl, just like Queen Bey slays life itself.

14. Schoolin' Life

Who needs a degree when you're schoolin' life?

Clever, Beyoncé. While us college students do, in fact, need a degree, you can still use this lyric as inspiration. Why not school school and life? Bam.

I hope that this not only gives you an incredibly motivating playlist, but inspires you to achieve your goals for the semester. Slay Spring Semester 2017, ladies.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
