13 Tips For New Bigs

1. Make time for your little.

2. Spoil your little.

3. Let your little know if you are worried about her decisions.

Your little is human, and there are going to be times in her life where she will want to do things that aren't the best for her, for representing your letters, or for her relationship with you. Make sure you take the time to explain those things to your Little and how she can make better choices.

4. When she still makes bad decisions, be there for her.

Understand that your little will still do some of those things anyway.,

5. Make your little break-up boxes, get-well soup, recruitment care packages, and motivational letters.

6. Let your little know how important she is to you.

7. Take pictures with your little.

8. Buy your little her first pair of letters.

9. Be your little's guide through sorority life.

Remember how clueless you were when you decided to go through recruitment and accept a bid to a sorority? Those were good days. Remember how your big explained to you the difference between a date night and semi-formal? Or told you how long your feet would hurt after recruitment? Congratulations! It is now your turn to work with your little and make sure that she knows everything about your organization and about fraternity and sorority life. Be sure to ask your own big if your still have questions.

10. Forgive your little.

11. Be your little's biggest supporter and best friend.

12. Be the big you know your little deserves.

13. Give your little all of the love you have.

She is the future of your organization and will represent your letters just as much as you do. Just make sure you give your little the best experience of her life. Enjoy being a big -- it's truly the best.

I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
