13 Times Samantha Bee Accurately Described Our Reactions To The Trump Administration
Wired

It has been a difficult month coping with Donald Trump's presidency. Luckily, we have comedian Samantha Bee to perfectly capture our reactions to the Trump Administration's first month in the White House.

1. On November 9th, 2016.

Seriously, how?

2. When Trump was inaugurated.

3. When the Women's March in Washington had three times as many people as the inauguration.

4. When Trump signed the Executive Order to ban Muslims from entering the United States.

5. When Steve Bannon, former executive chairman of alt-right news publication "Breitbart," was added to the administration's National Security Council.

Steven Bannon reportedly helped craft the administration's ban on Muslim immigration. Breitbart News is known as being a nationalist, anti-Muslim, and anti-immigration publication. It is home to online editor Milo Yiannopolous, a man who considers hate speech to be synonymous with free speech.

6. When the White House deleted all references to "Climate Change" and "Global Warming" on their website.

**cries because where will we live when the planet is destroyed**

7. When Trump said in his press conference, "Number 1: I am the least anti-Semitic person that you've ever seen in your entire life. Number 2: racism. The least racist person."

I wish I was making this up. I really do.

8. When, in that same press conference, Trump defended his incorrect information about his win being "the biggest electoral college win since Ronald Reagan" (which is, of course, false) by saying "I was given that information. I don't know. I was just given... well, I don't know."

Alright. Trump ranked 45 out of the past 58 US presidential campaigns in regards to the number of Electoral College votes received. Yet, he continuously claims that it was the biggest win since Reagan? Trump, serious question: If the same people who gave you that information told you to resign, would you? (Asking for a friend.)

9. When Kellyanne Conway constructed an entire lie, the "Bowling Green Massacre," to defend Trump's travel ban.

10. When the Department of Education spells W.E.B. Du Bois' name wrong in a tweet and then incorrectly spells the word "apologies" as "apologizes" in the tweet after.

Sup, Betsy DeVos. How's it going?

11. When Trump says he will hire the "best people, the smartest people" and will "drain the swamp," yet he brings on advisors like Flynn, Pruitt, and DeVos...

Or, when he says he will build a wall. And make Mexico pay for it. Still.

12. Every time Donald Trump says the words "huge," "tremendous," "Make American Great Again," "total disaster," "believe me," etc...

13. Finally, when Trump threatened to take away federal funds from UC Berkeley over Twitter.

Oh, yes please take away federal funds from the #1 public research university in the world. Youwon't make America great by undermining its greatest institutions.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
