Working. Ugh. I feel like we tend to have love-hate relationships with our jobs. Bless the people who enjoy waking up and going to work EVERYDAY... those are the real anomalies. Yeah, at times jobs can be awesome, fun and great experiences but other times you probably want to gouge your eyes out at the mere thought of being there.

Although I am still in college and have yet to have a career, I have had a couple of jobs, all in different fields, and have gained some choice feelings toward working. Michael Scott, "World's Best Boss," is able to truly sum up the emotions we all have experiences while at our jobs.

And let's just point out that I am writing this while at work. AYE.

1. When you ignore your alarm too many times to delay the inevitable that is WORK.

There was a point when I had my alarm set for 6:30 a.m. to head to my 8 am shift and I hit the snooze button so much that I found myself in bed at 7:45 a.m. and I wanted to die.

2. When your boss doesn't think you'll be able to handle closing up shop.

Honestly, I could do this clean up in my sleep. I got this, fam.

3. When you find out corporate is coming in to do evaluations.

Everyone is on edge and for some reason the thought of running seven miles away from the store doesn't sound that bad.

4. When family or friends come and visit you during your 8 hour shift.

It's like a little beacon of hope. But internally you are screaming, "SAVE ME!"

5. When your boss tells you there are gonna be some new guidelines to follow.

New dress code? New way of doing inventory? New way of doing time sheets? How about no?

6. When your shift is over.

I don't think I have every left a place faster. Usain Bolt better watch it.

7. When all of your hard work is finally acknowledged and your paycheck goes up by like a dollar.

Make it rain... I guess?

8. When your boss is out for the day and you feel like you can make all of the company's tough decisions.

Get corporate on the phone, I have some things to say.

9. When the Christmas playlist finally comes on after all of this time.

The amount of times I heard the same gosh darn song over and over again made me realize how much I appreciated Mariah Carey yelling about how much all she wanted for Christmas was me.

10. When it is 5 minutes before close and a customer walks in.

Little pieces of my soul left my body every time someone had the nerve to do this.

11. When you are given a new task that you aren't used to.

Uh.. you want me to do what?

12. When you and your co-workers have finally reached that level of bonding.

Inside jokes and potential friendships outside the work place for the win!

13. When you realize that you do need this job so that you can live.

Whether you love your job or not, you are doing it for a reason! Get that doe, make those connections, work work work.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
