Have you ever been hit by a pitch and wanted to scream in anger or charge the mound? Well, you are not the only one. Whether you play softball or baseball, you know the feeling of being hit by a ball coming at you at 50+ miles per hour. It definitely isn't a pleasant feeling, although it comes with playing the game. You have to throw your emotions out the door and continue playing the game.
These thirteen things always go through my mind after being hit with a pitch:
1. I hate you so so so much. Why did you have to do this to ME. I’m a ball magnet.
2. I really want to charge the pitcher. Take her down. Right now, it front of everyone.
3. Wait, I get a free base. It’s okay... Well, as long as I get there without crying.
4. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Breathe. In and out, in and out.
5. Okay I made it to the base. Life is good.
6. What the heck. I wanted to hit the ball. Thanks pitcher.
7. Ha, now I’m going to get home and you’re going to regret hitting me.
8. I made it home. Let’s check out this bruise.
9. No time for that, I have a game to play.
Following the game...
10. This bruise hurts and is really swollen. No pain no gain?
11. Oh my god. This bruise has stich marks.
12. Looks like I won’t be wearing any dresses anytime soon.
13. Dang this bruise looks bomb.
