For anyone that has Netflix, you know that "13 Reasons Why" has been advertised heavily. Every time you go on Netflix, it pops up. If you’ve read the book, you must see the shows. It came out just a few days ago, but so many people have already finished it; it's addictive. If you’ve watched any of it, you will relate to these 13 thoughts that go through your head.

1. Why does Clay take so long to listen to the tapes

Okay, let’s face it. If a girl just committed suicide at your school and you received some tapes from her, you’d listen to them ASAP.

2. Why does Clay ask what is happening all the time

If you want to know what’s happening, just listen to the tapes.

3. What if I said or did something to someone that made them want to die

Honestly, there’s a point in life where you hurt someone’s feelings or you don’t stand up for them. While watching this show, “what if I’ve said or done something to hurt someone this much?” goes through you mind so many times.

4. Why are so many people protecting Bryce Walker

Okay so Bryce raped Hannah and I understand he did a lot for people, but he is a rapist. Other people like Justin know about this and do nothing but protect him. What’s wrong with everyone is this story?!

5. Why are the things that happen so relatable

Okay so most of the things that happen in this show are something we can all relate to. If we can’t relate to it, someone we know can.

6. Stop running from Tony, Clay

Tony is obviously trying to help you, so stop running from him and just listen to the tapes.

7. Why does Clay keep asking who knows about the tapes

If he just listened to the tapes like Hannah wanted him to, he would know who knows about them.

8. I need hot chocolate too

After seeing Hannah, Jessica, and Alex in Monet’s so often, you want a hot chocolate too.

9. Why are high schoolers such jerks

With all the bullying and lies that hurt so many people and caused Hannah to kill herself, why does everyone continue to be a jerk?

10. Would Hannah have killed herself if Kat didn’t leave

Kat was Hannah’s best friend and when she left, Hannah fell for the guy Kat talked to. If Kat hadn’t stop talking to him, would any of this have happened?

11. Why didn’t someone try to help her

No matter how hard life is, someone is always there for you. When someone is very depressed, there are typically a lot of signs. Hannah showed a lot of these signs yet no one did anything to help. They just left her alone.

12.Why didn’t someone say something about the tapes

I know they didn’t want anyone to know about the tapes, but if someone had said something, Hannah could have been avenged.

13. I can’t believe actually Hannah killed herself

The whole story is about Hannah Baker killing herself and the tapes she made and sent around afterwards, but when she died, I couldn’t believe it. How could they do that?!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
