13 Thoughts We All Have Playing Pokémon Go
Forbes

Pokémon Go is one of the fastest growing apps around. Half of the world is playing this game, children, adults, I've even seen grandparents playing. I have met countless amount of people just from trying to catch the nearest Drowzee. I once even had a waitress put down a lure in the restaurant so my friends and I could catch Pokémon while we waited for our food (she was the real MVP). The excitement of finding new Pokémon, the anger when it runs away, the intensity of battling, and of course arguing with your friends that their team is better. But let's face it, there is a process when it comes to this glorious addiction we all have. These are the 13 thoughts we all had when we first were new to the Pokémon world.

1. Wow, Pokémon Go is so stupid. I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with it.

2. Fine, I guess I'll download it just to see what all the hype is about.

3. WAIT, how do I move my character?

4. HOLD ON, this game requires exercise? I thought video games were for being lazy?

5. I caught a purple rat looking thing. I'm the best Pokémon player EVER.

6. OMG! I'm finding so many new Pokémon, this is the best feeling ever.

7. * Internally Sings Pokémon Theme Song*

8. Join a team? WHAT TEAM DO I CHOSE.

9. Honestly, this is the best game ever. I'm so glad I downloaded it.

10. Wow, all I'm finding are Ratata's and Pidgey's. WHAT IS THIS? WHEN DO I FIND PIKACHU?

11. Actually, this game is kind of boring once you think about it.

12. Yeah, this is honestly just a waste of my time. I don't even know why I started playing it to begin with.

13. HOLY SWEET BABY JEASUS, MY EGG IS HATCHING. THIS IS THE GREATEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN IN MY LIFE.

And at the end of the day, you still can't manage to find the courage to hit delete and lose every Pokémon you got and to start back at level one. It's a piece of our childhood, a game brought to life almost. And let's face it, you've all brought out your cards since this game hit the app store to live old memories. Just a reminder, make sure to be safe when playing. Don't play and drive, don't play and cross the road without looking! Happy hunting, Pokémon trainers, you gotta catch them all!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
