College graduation is three months away, which means us seniors need to start applying to real-people jobs. Some people have been working since they were out of the womb, so their resume is stacked to the nines and others have connections that will automatically secure them a spot at some #trendy new company.
For others, including myself, applying to jobs is an absolute nightmare. I even wrote an essay for one of my classes on how to dodge the "What are you doing after graduation" question because if one more person asks me, I may scream. Regardless of what category you fall under, we've all had these thoughts while applying to jobs:
1. I am a boss. I will get a job.
2. How can I have five years of experience if you don't give me any experience?
3. Did I pick the wrong major?
4. I'm going to apply anyway even though I'm not qualified.
5. Who has time to write all of these cover letters?
6. How do I network if I'm anti-social and don't like people?
7. $10 an hour?
8. How much do strippers make?
9. I'm gonna cry.
10. Wait... I got an interview!
11. Now I need a new outfit
12. I have no idea how to respond to "Why do you want this job?"
13. Please please please hire me!
Happy applying everyone. You're not alone!
