Like many other young people, I am pretty sure I watch more Spongebob now than I ever did when I was in elementary school. Maybe I have actually gone backwards maturity wise, or maybe Spongebob’s antics are just more relatable at this point in my life. I don’t really know. Whatever the case, Spongebob always seems to find a way to relate to whatever is going on in my life. It’s nice to have a cute little sponge who understands you and the struggles you are going through trying to get yourself through college. But really, Spongebob understands what you are going through. I mean, how many years did he spend it boating school? Here are just a few times I have related to spongebob just a little too closely since beginning college:
1. When you suddenly have to be responsible for doing your own laundry, and you aren’t sure you are mentally capable of it. DO I NEED FABRIC SOFTENER!?!?!
2. When you look at your bill and find charges for the strangest things. Who knew attending freshman orientation was so expensive?
3. When your friends try to get you to actually spend money. Do they not know how much this education is costing you?
4. When you go to your first class of the day and things start going downhill almost immediately.
5. When you get a quiz back and the grade is so terrible it makes you question all of your goals and aspirations.
6. When all of your friends are in class and you get bored and lonely waiting for someone to come hang out with you.
7. When you are taking an exam and you finally realize just how unprepared you are.
8. When you have been procrastinating writing a paper for 3 weeks and you finally start it at midnight on the night before it’s due.
9. And you finally finish said essay around 4am.
10. When you zone out in class and look up at the board and see how much of the lecture you just missed.
11. When you do way better on an assignment than you even dreamed you would.
12. When you hand in an assignment that it absolutely terrible, but you are hoping your wonderful professor will give you pity points.
13. When you think you did really well on an exam, but then you realize it was actually out of 160 points, ot 100 points.
