13 Things We Can't Stand

There are a whole bunch of things in life that drive me, you, and just about everybody crazy. The things in life that make you waste time fixing them, make your life 20 times harder than it already is, and just drive you nuts when you encounter them. I am positive that every single one of you reading this has had one of these deadly events happen to you at least once in your lifetime. And if by chance one of these things hasn't happened to you, then hope it never will. So here is a list of a few terrible things that can happen to you and turn one of the best days in your life in to just a regular day or even one of the worst.

1. When you go into the bathroom and your sock/socks get wet.

2. When you stub your toe on a table and just have to turn into a super saiyan.

3. THOSE ERASERS THAT DO NOT ERASE NEATLY.

4. When someone eats the food you've been saving after a long day at work.

5. SLOW WALKERS!

6. When teachers give you homework, projects, essays, or any other type of school work when YOU ARE ON A BREAK.

7. When you are at the gym and someone is either using three different machines at once or "using" one while sitting on their phone taking selfies about "grinding at the gym for gainz".

8. When that one fire alarm at your house battery's low and just keeps beeping and beeping and beeping.

9. Washing the dishes is one thing but touching some wet, soggy, mushy food is just truly disgusting.

10. Those little pieces of skin on your fingernails that are damn near impossible to take off without bleeding a little.

11. Getting put in a group chat on Facebook, Group Me or any other chat without wanting to be in it AND on top of that not having half the peoples numbers or names on your phone.

12. When you're anywhere and there just to many people that you can barely talk, walk, or breathe.

13. Last but not least is trying to explain anything to your parents or anyone that's stubborn how, YOU are RIGHT and they just like all the other times are WRONG.

Now these are just a few things that really grind our gears, but I'm sure we can all think of dozens of more things. But everyone should always remember that there are good things in life too, like good food, the beach, and petting dogs. And maybe by some odd chance some people might even slightly just a tiny bit enjoy one or two of these things. Don't let anyone of these things stop you from having a great day. But if you do encounter one of these things today then do what I do and go right back to bed and hope tomorrow will be better.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

winter

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
