1. Get a tattoo! Tons of tattoo shops do a Friday the 13th special where they draw up a bunch of related tattoos and give you them for a really low price. Plus, who doesn’t love a tattoo of a black cat or a creepy pumpkin?!

2. Go apple picking! TIS’ THE SEASON. Apple picking is great in the fall. Mid-October is the best time to go, so why not go on a day that is iconic to October and Halloween. Just be sure to not walk under any ladders

3.Visit a cemetery. I don’t mean this in a rude way. Don’t be going to a cemetery just disturb the peace or to vandalize. Be respectful, but going to a cemetery at night is kind of creepy and spooky. Who knows? Maybe you’ll come home with a friend or a hitchhiking spirit!

4. Have an Ouija board party! Invite a group of friends over for some drinks (if you are of age) and break out the Ouija boards. These are always a fun game to play, especially if you’re a little tipsy.

5. Go to or host a Halloween party! What better night to have a Halloween party (other than on Halloween?) You can have friends wear costumes and do a contest for who has the best one or the worst.

6. Visit a haunted house. Like a real one. There are tons of lists of the top haunted houses/towns in each state. Get some friends together and make a plan! Again, be careful of those hitchhiking spirit. You can also go to a play haunted house. These are always fun. Some are better than others, but they all have the same goal: to scare the s*** out of you!

7. Visit your local theme park. Tons of theme parks do fun Halloween events throughout October. Disney has Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party which is great for kids. Universal has Halloween Horror Nights, which is not so great for kids. Six Flags locations have fright fest which is perfect for the whole family. The list goes on!

8. Go on a haunted hayride. These usually start up early to mid-October. A fun way to get scared while also sitting on super uncomfortable hay. Who doesn’t like that?!

9.Have a scary movie marathon. Friday the 13th has always been one of my top favorite classic movies. There are tons you can add to your list. Watch them till you pass out or get too scared. What a great excuse to cuddle with your boyfriend or girlfriend.

10. Find a fall festival to go to! Towns and cities do fall festivals every year. It’s a perfect time just to put on an over-sized sweatshirt, and walk around with the cool fall breeze. Try some new apple flavored drinks, as well as some pumpkin spice for our basics out there! Many places also have things going on for October Fest with beer tasting.

11. Visit a pumpkin patch. Most people seem just to buy whatever pumpkin they see at a store. While they are usually pretty nice to choose from, going to pick your own is 1/2 of the fun.

12. Go to a haunted corn maze! I have to say, during this time of year corn fields seem quite sketchy. So why not grab a couple of friends, get lost inside of one and risk getting chased into a dead end?

13. Stay home. For all your superstitious folk out there. The best option would be just to stay home. Stay away from mirrors, black cats, ladders, the number 6 or 13, to be honest just don’t get out of bed. For those of you who do get out of bed: just take a look and pick something fun to do!

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
