13 Things That Happen When You Go To UK, But Aren't A Sports Fan

University of Kentucky sports is a huge deal. Campus life and community revolves around sports. Walking through campus, you see nothing but UK pride. It's not often that you run into a few people like myself, who attend UK, but aren't into the whole sports scene. Many people may not realize, but sometimes it's hard going to a school so big into sports. So, here are a few things that happen when you attend UK, but aren't exactly into sports.

1. You attend Caturdays, but never actually go into the football game.

2. You, most likely, don't own much UK gear, but proudly wear your same Kentucky sweatshirt everywhere you go.

3. You walk past well known players on campus without even noticing.

4. You immediately just smile and nod when someone tries to talk about the game with you.

5. You never get in heated arguments with opposing team fans, or literally anyone, when it comes to sports.

6. You are able to sit down and watch the game with friends, as long as there's food.

7. You will never truly understand why people must camp out for a whole week for Big Blue Madness.

8. You're always asking yourself in group conversations, What game?

9. Even when people talk about the game, it sounds like a whole other language.

10. Even though sitting in the freezing cold watching football for a couple hours seems fun, you would rather stay inside and watch Netflix.

11. The knowledge you do know about UK sports has most likely come from seeing it on social media or hearing someone talk about it.

12. You actually form great bonds with people who also have no idea what's going on in the sports scene.

13. No matter how hard you try, you still can't seem to get into sports, but you'll always cheer for the Cats because that's what everyone else does.
