13 Things Pasta Lovers Do

I am pasta's number one fan. I have an addiction and a serious love for pasta. It is honestly the best food in the world. I will never pass up an opportunity to eat some. Ever since coming to Europe, my pasta addiction has only gotten worse. I could seriously eat it for every meal (and truthfully have). There are so many different styles, sauces, and variations that it is hard to not love pasta. In no particular order, here is a list of things that all pasta addicts and lovers do (or maybe just me).

1. Going to different restaurants and ordering the same pasta dish

If you are truly a pasta addict, you have mastered your swirling technique so you get the perfect bite of pasta every time, and by perfect I mean the biggest bite possible without getting it all over your face.

2. Parmesan.

Need I say more? Parmesan is pasta's lover and bestfriend. They cannot go without each other and I cannot go without them.

3. The swirl

Every pasta addict has the perfect swirl to maximize the most amount of pasta on your fork without getting it all over your face (or forget the swirl and just shove your face like I normally do).

4. Trying a new pasta dish and loving it

I normally stick with my favorite pasta ever (spaghetti carbonara), but this week I tried a new pasta dish and have absolutely no regrets.

5. That feeling when the waiter/waitress brings you your steaming hot pasta

Nothing is better then when your pasta arrives and it is still steaming hot. The feeling is probably close to what heaven is like (because pasta is heavenly).

6. Cooking your own pasta dishes (for those who cook)

I love pasta and I love cooking. Putting the two together is magical (plus I can add so much garlic because who doesn't love garlicy pasta). It always fun to try out a homemade pasta dish (or just go to that italian restaurant you love either works).

7. Eating pasta more then three times a week

I have eaten pasta for every meal in a weekend and I have no shame.

8. Not sharing pasta

I will not share my pasta with anyone, unless that person happens to have pizza, then I will happily share my pasta with them if they share their pizza with me (side note if you have not eaten pasta and pizza at the same time you have not lived).

9. Constantly craving pasta

I honestly crave pasta 24/7. As I write this I want pasta, and it is only 10 in the morning.

10. Alway suggesting an Italian restaurant to eat at

When deciding where to eat I am always the one to suggest Italian because Italian restaurants have pasta (and pizza) so you cannot go wrong.

11. Every mood is a pasta mood

Happy, sad, stressed, angry, excited, pasta will be there to make it all better, or make it the best possible.

12. Garlic bread.

Garlic bread is also pasta's lover, and bestfriend (don't tell Parmesan). Nothing is better than having a buttery, garlicy, soaked bread to accompany your piping hot pasta.

13. Sauce

I know I said this list is in no particular order, but I did save the best for last. The sauce is the most fundamental part of pasta. No sauce, then you just have noodles which unless they have butter on them, suck. Every pasta lover, addict, has their favorite type of sauce (mine is always a creamy sauce, oh yum!). Whether it be red sauce, white sauce, or just plain butter everyone has a go to sauce.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
