Growing up as a woman in our society, you're often not encouraged to embrace your strength and your confidence. The media subliminally tells you that you're supposed to be submissive. However, I've seen that this can't stop the strong, confident women from embracing their personalities and dominating their fields. The powerful women that we see in the media are promoting the idea that a woman can be strong and confident without inherently being "bossy." To all you strong, confident, "bossy", nasty women out there, this one's for you!

1. You're confident, so you get called "bossy" or "controlling"

As a woman, if you're in charge of something you get called bossy, but if a man is in charge, he's described as a strong leader. It's not fair, but it's how the world works right now, so embrace being "bossy" and keep doing you.

2. People say you're intimidating or unapproachable

Sorry, not sorry. If you're intimidated by me, we are probably not gonna get along because I need to be with people who can keep up and challenge me. No hard feelings.

3. A lot of people (male and female) can't handle you

I'm a lot to deal with and I totally get that, so I understand if you can't hang.

4. You have a soft side too

You can't always be strong. Some nights you need to sit on your couch drinking wine and eating popcorn by yourself.

5. You're here to get sh*t done and don't care what you have to do to accomplish it

Hermione is the OG bossy girl.

6. You've got some seriously big goals, but you have no doubt you'll reach them

The world better watch out because you're coming for it and won't be stopped until you accomplish everything you've set your mind to.

7. You love seeing other women take charge and be powerful

We're competitive with each other, but also love to see other women being successful. Our competition with each other just pushes us to be better.

8. You live for movies/shows/books with strong female leads

Bonus points if said movie/show/book has a main plotline other than a romance. In all seriousness, having strong female leads in popular media is the first step to changing public perception of women as a whole.

9. You love a good challenge

At work, at school, in your relationships: challenges are the best.

10. You don't settle for anything less than perfection

11. You push others around you to strive for greatness

You want to be the best that you can be and want to see the same for your friends.

12. You don't need praise to keep doing what you do

If I needed a pat on the back to keep working hard, I would've given up a long time ago. You learn to take pride and acknowledge your own achievements then get back to work to tackle the next goal.

13. You're proud of your strength

Be proud of how strong you are and keep encouraging others around you to embrace their inner strength too.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
