Baldwin Wallace is home to many different students studying many different majors, but one of the most stressful (yet rewarding) is our theater program. With an amazing staff, wonderful shows, and opportunity just around the corner, our department is constantly full of things only BW theater majors understand.
1. Running out of printing money because you needed resumés and headshots.
I think I spend more money printing than I make acting.
2. Having to take dance classes when there's a clear reason you're not a dance minor.
I apologize in advance to the actual dancers who have to work with me.
3. Jack Winget.
Booga booga.
4. The feeling when Groundlings opened.
Thank you for this gift, this blessing.
5. Annoying nursing students while you're in the acting studio.
That's what happens when you put our acting studio in MACS.
6. Being totally comfortable with seeing your classmates naked on stage.
It gradually goes from "He has to get naked?!" to "Who's getting naked this season?"
7. Not inviting your parents to a show because you're naked on stage.
No, Mom, please don't invite Grandma.
8. Reminding everyone that TAP is the April Reign co-ed champions 2 years running.
Take that, athletics.
9. Trying to free your neck.
Thanks for the advice, Adam.
10. Late night run-ins with John Patrick's ghost.
Was that a ghost or a draft we just felt? The world may never know.
11. Sand.
"Big Love" was last semester. Why does the Allman still feel like this?
12. Weekend rehearsals when Lang is closed.
Well, guess I'm not eating at all today.
13. Knowing that you belong to one of the most tight-knit departments on campus.
Those who stress together stick together.
