If there was a specific time to be afraid now would be it. As we enter the month of October we enter the count down to the spookiest holiday of the year (in the states). It is a time when your irrational fears stop being so irrational because there is literally nothing you can't be afraid of. For example clowns and other mysterious ghouls. Not all fears are super natural, but come from the mundane things horror movies have made us most afraid of. Similar to the 13 Nights of Halloween here are 13 things to be afraid of in the month of October thanks to the horror genre.
1. Phone Calls
2. Your car breaking down
3. Mysterious gusts of wind
4. Flickering lights
5. Ghost Stories
6. Showers
7. People in masks
8. Going down to the Basement
9. Staying home alone
10. Camping
12. Car rides to the middle of nowhere
13. Cemeteries
There are probably a dozen more things to be terrified about like zombies, monsters under your bed or in the closet. Regardless Halloween is upon us and October never fails to make things extra creepy.
