13 Signs you're a Pittsburgh Sports Fan

Some people only cheer for the Penguins, Pirates, or Steelers. Others only cheer for two of the three. Then, there are the best of them all, the trifecta fan, who cheers for all three of the teams. Although people may seem like they cheer for all three teams, here are some signs proving that you are, or somebody you know is, a Pittsburgh sports fan.

1.) You either know every championship we have won and the year, or you at least know the most recent one for each team.

2.) You think PNC Park has the best view in all of baseball.

3.) You know the nicknames for most players and lineups from “AB” to “HBK.”

4.) You either say Stillers, Bucs/Buccos and Pens, or you know somebody who does.

5.) It’s Black and Gold, not Black and Yellow.

6.) Since the early millennium you’ve believed the Penguins or Steelers would have a high chance to win a championship every year.

7.) You know what “RTJR” means.

8.) You know about the appreciation the teams have for each other.

9.) You remember 2009, the year we stapled our title as “The City of Champyinz (ions).”

10.) You’ve done the two games in one day thing, meaning you’ve gone to a Steelers' game and a Penguins' game in one day.

11.) You know that if Andrew McCutchen is the heart of the Pirates regardless of the players who surround him.

12.) You know the signature towels.

13.) You know how to spell Roethlisberger like it’s the most common surname ever.

It doesn't matter if you were born here or not. If you have the black and gold blood it will never die. Let's go Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins!
