The bright lights that consume the stage and shine out across the sea of screaming fans is only a small portion of the exuberant feeling you get when you attend a music festival. Festivals bring out hundreds of dollars from fans pockets yearly. I believe that everyone should experience the excitement it least once in their lives. One reason being is the:

Odd outfits you see. People tend to think the less clothing the better when attending music festivals. Yes, you will see lot's of the boho style fashion for both men and women. Sometimes though, it's not always the best choice for the unexpected rainfall.

It's the perfect place to go with a group of friends. Whether its one day or three, this is the best time to let lose with your friends and enjoy the fresh air while you have great music blasting through you.

All the different genre's you encounter. They're are multiple stages set up with various artist playing at the same time. This gives you the opportunity to pick who you want to see and when you want to see them. Don't like one artist? You can go see the next band that is playing.

The community of people. The majority of these people at these festivals are very friendly. You will meet thousands of people from across the world who have all came together to share their love of music.

Camping is and experience in itself. Some festivals offer the chance to camp out near the venues, so that you can wake up the next morning and go at it again.

The crowds. You're standing shoulder to shoulder with strangers you have never met in your life. You might be sweaty and gross but it's the joy of all being there together and your common love for the artist or band that is about to come on stage, is what brings you together and lets you get out of your comfort zone to meet others.

The music. The bass will soon begin to kick into the pit of your stomach and take over any feelings you have. You will feel the thumping of the drum in your chest and the bass of the guitar through your veins. As you look around you, you just see hands in the air and smiling faces. Thats when you know that you have found your love of music festivals.

The food. Depending on where the festival is located, you might get some interesting qualities of food. When you're hot and hungry, nothing taste better than that greasy food truck pizza.

Celebrities. At big named festivals like, Coachella, you might run into some familiar faces. Don't be surprised when you pass Vanessa Hudgens sporting her favorite flowered headband.

Travel. For some festivals that are in California or Tennessee, you might have to do a little bit of traveling. Not only are you getting to see your favorite band, but you're also getting to see parts of the world.

The memories. The memories you make while at these festivals will be the ones you will never forget. Laugh it up with your friends, make a new friend and remember that concert you went to when you were young.

The Experience. There's no better way to describe a festival then to go yourself and see with your own eyes. The experience is worth a lifetime.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
