Nothing rivals friendship quite like Lorelai and Rory's relationship. Just like Rory, my mom is the best friend I could ever ask for. She's my BFFFL (extra F for emphasis).

1. She is always there for me

She always helps me with whatever I need, whenever I need it.

2. She understands and shares my love of food

Although I can no longer enjoy with her like I used to due to my food allergies, that doesn't change the fact that she will always be my eating buddy. You know food is important when you are willing to drive 107 blocks just to get your favorite froyo.

3. She gives the best hugs

No matter when, where, or what the situation is, she is always there and ready to embrace me on a moments notice.

4. She is loyal without question

If I hate her, mom hates her. No questions. No hesitations.

5. She always knows my true intentions

As much as I hate to admit it, my mom tends to always be right, and she can always tell when I have a hidden agenda.

6. I always know how she is feeling

I'd like to think that I know how she is feeling, but even if I don't, I do think she misses me while I'm away.

7. We have a standing Friday night date

When dad goes to the football games, it's girls night. Whether we just watch a movie, or we go out for dinner, no matter what we do just being together ensures we will have a good time.

8. We laugh even when no one else understands what is funny

Our inside jokes are endless, and even if no one else gets it, that won't stop us from laughing until our bellies hurt.

9. She taught me how to be silly

By always making me smile, she taught me how to share a little laughter with whomever may need it.

10. She supports me

She lets me make my own choices in what I want to do with my life.

11. She's taught me the right way to handle things

She gives the best advice and always knows the way to cope with every situation.

12. She is my rock

She is there for laughs, smiles, and even tears. If someone breaks my heart, I know she will hold me while I cry and then go kick his ass.

13. She is (almost) always down for a sleepover

When I'm at home, it's never an issue if I can't sleep. I get in bed to cuddle... Which almost always means dad moves to my bed or the couch.

Thank you mom! No matter what happens, I know that you will always be there for me.

10 Truths About Being In A Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.
