13 Reasons Why NOT

After finishing season 2 of "13 Reasons Why," it inspired me to look at multiple points of view of what real-life people might be going through. There are many different opinions from viewers about this show, whether you like it or not, this show has a very powerful message behind it.

From the show, I got many powerful messages of what Hannah Baker went through. At the end of season 2, Hannah's mom had Clay read Hannah's list of 13 reasons why not, and here are mine.

1. Family

Gabriela Idland

I don't really have that many friends, a few close ones and that's it. My family is my everything and I would do anything for them. Not being able to see them everyday would be devastating. My family and I don't always see eye to eye, but I have learned that they will always be there.

2. Your pets

I love my dog to death, he is literally my best friend. Your pet would be so devastated if one day you just didn't come home. My dog makes me the happiest. He is truly my sunshine when skies are grey.

3. Music

Music always seems to make me feel better. Imagine never being able to listen to your favorite song or playlist again. I swear, Apple Music knows what kind of mood I am in and picks the best songs to make my day a little better.

4. School

Getting my degree is very important to me; it is stressful now, but it will be worth it in the end. Everything that has came along with going to college has kept me going. My sorority, friends, and Odyssey are a very important part that I will cherish forever.

5. Traveling

Gabriela Idland

There is so much world you haven't seen yet, and don't you want to explore it? I consider myself a world traveler and I still have so much of the world to see. Travel, I highly recommend it.

6. Your bestie

Gabriela Idland

Couldn't imagine life without my best friend. She definitely brings out my goofiness and fun side. Sometimes, all you need is a day with your bestie, and all your worries go away.

7. Finding true love

You may think that you don't have a true love out there. But true love doesn't have to be a person, it can be a thing. Find that person or something that you could never live without, and don't let go.

8. Laughing

A good laugh is a great stress reliever. Laugh often.

9. So many people you haven't met yet

There are so many people that you come in contact with and so many people that you would never think of meeting.

10. Smiling

Gabriela Idland

A true smile can make your day and potentially turn someone else's day around.

11. Your future

Everyone has future wishes, goals, and dreams. If you work hard enough, you can achieve those goals. No matter how big or small, your future can make living worth it.

12. Your bed

There are somedays I never want to get out of bed. Whether it's because I am exhausted from the night before or just woke up on the wrong side of the bed, my bed can always bring me comfort and happiness.

13. Sunshine

Gabriela Idland

Sunshine brings happiness to me and I always cherish the sunny days. Sunshine can never put you in a bad mood.

It does get better. Believe it or not, it will eventually get better. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but it will in the near future. Show the world how strong you are, even on your darkest days. Sometimes you have to go through the storm to get to the rainbow. The world loves you, and the sun would not shine without your face.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
